OXFORD ? Oxford broke open a tight game with three second half goals and posted a 4-0 shutout of visiting Lapeer West Thursday in a non-conference boys soccer team.
Paul Tomaka scored in the first half and opened the second half with another goal for the Wildcats (8-3-2). Rolly Giberson and Marco Bonfiglio also scored, while Tomaka, Sean Hazen, Bonfiglio and Doug Klimbal also had assists for Oxford. Ben Magdaleno posted his sixth shutout for the Wildcats.
TROY 0, HOLLY 0: Troy is ranked third and division 1 and holly sixth in Division 2. The two non-league foes settled nothing Thursday.
Andrew Ferrin made six saves for Troy?s 11th shutout, as the Colts improved to 12-1-1 and have yielded only five goals all season.
Ryan St. John made 10 saves in goal for Holly (4-2-4).
ROCHESTER ADAMS 4, CLARKSTON 1: Adams made a revenge statement to a loss earlier this season, scoring three goals in the second half.
Randall McAdory score in the first half to tie the game, then scored the go-ahead goal in the second half for the Highlanders. Jake Parnell and Kevin Lencioni also scored for Adams, while Evan Skiff and Patrick Spike drew assists for the Highlanders (8-4-2).
Freshman Spencer Ward made five saves in goal for the win.
Jimmy Todd scored for Clarkston (9-7-0, 4-4-0).
