Tags: Eastern Exposure 3, Epicly Later'd, Part 3, Ricky Oyola ?
The year 1996 was a great year for cinema.? Personally, I was still a young fresh faced VIRGIN trying to reach the finish line of High School.? Instead of spending all of my time concentrating on things like my tennis team, or trying to get good grades, I was heavily influenced by cinema, for that was the time I could really understand the deep symbolic meanings of a good independent film.? In 1996, they gave us TRAINSPOTTING where I guess it was okay to show a man?s penis, heavy drug use, and great music all at once without feeling weird.? 1996 also gave us FROM DUSK TIL DAWN where I realized how bad of an actor QT is but this new MEXICAN on the scene was quite spicy.
Then there were the super indie movies.? The skate films that even have film directors attached like Spike Jonze who did ?Mouse?.? On the East Coast, 1996 was the year that Dan Wolfe gifted the skateworld with Eastern Exposure 3.? As that young impressionable kid, I wanted to copy Dan Wolfe?s cinematic style, which I had never really seen at the time.? And this next Epicly? Later?d features Dan Wolfe and Ricky?s relationship during the filming of this great movie.??? In this particular video we got to finally see full parts from our East Coast brethren?and then there was Ricky?s part. I think Jack Sabback put it best when he said that Rick was, ?mashing through the streets, riding up peoples? houses.? Yes, Jack, yes he was.
